Meghan Mariman joined the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in June 2023 as Data Curation Lead in the Office of Digital Transformation (ODT) Office of Data, Analytics and Research (ODAR), reporting to Ram Iyer, Chief Data Officer. Meghan is the owner for Data Analytics as a Service (DAaaS).
Data Analytics as a Service (DAaaS) is a cloud-based data analytics solution launched in September 2023. This service is designed to provide rapid response to urgent and diverse data analytics needs of both internal and external stakeholders. This initiative is also aligned with the FDA’s Data Modernization Action Plan and the intention to leverage proven internal technology and talent.
A Navy Veteran, Meghan previously led the Data Division for the U.S. Army in Washington, DC, where she managed a team of military, civilians, and contractors in the Chief Information Office. Meghan was responsible for Data Strategy, Policy, and Governance. She brings extensive experience in Program Management, Strategic Communications, and Financial Management to the ODAR team.
Before joining the Army Civilian Corps, Meghan held leadership positions in Communications at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. Her Naval service includes tours as a Surface Warfare Officer, a Protocol Officer, and a Public Affairs Officer.
Meghan and her husband Jim have three adult daughters, Jessica, Grace, and Laura, and reside in Alexandria, VA, with their three-legged dog Shiloh and their one-eyed cat Cleo. In her spare time, Meghan serves on the Board of Directors for Building with Grace, a charity with a mission is to build and gift homes to Veterans with cancer.
