Felicia Qashu, Ph.D., is a Common Fund Program Leader in the Office of Strategic Coordination in the Office of the Director at the National Institutes of Health. In this role, she leads strategic planning and program management across Common Fund initiatives. Her work involves cross-agency collaborations aimed at addressing high-impact scientific challenges. She is the Program Leader for NIH’s Community Advancing Research for Health (CARE for Health™) initiative, which supports a network of networks to embed clinical research in primary care settings – the frontline of clinical practice – with a focus on facilitating research in rural communities.
Before joining the NIH, Dr. Qashu's research was closely linked with the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC). During this time, she led a national clinical research network and study portfolio focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the military
