A recognized expert in clinical informatics and regulatory compliance, Mathew Eisenberg serves as Chief of the Clinical Informatics Branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He oversees a portfolio of specialized systems that support clinical research across domestic and international trials, including electronic quality management and clinical trial data systems, helping advance NIAID's research mission at scale.

Mr. Eisenberg joined NIAID in 2011 as the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) Program Manager, where he directed a team of developers and analysts to deliver document management and business process automation solutions across the Institute. He later led the expansion of the EDRMS program into an NIH-wide enterprise resource. Prior to NIAID, Mr. Eisenberg served as Application Development and Support Branch Chief at the United States Peace Corps, leading a team that built software used by over 8,000 volunteers worldwide. With 25 years of experience spanning software development and project management across government, for-profit, non-profit, and higher education settings.
