Dr. Erika Kim is a Portfolio Lead at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), where she leads the Biomedical Data Fabric (BDF) Toolbox program and projects that focus on creating transformative AI-enabled technologies to integrate, contextualize, and accelerate the use of complex biomedical data for research and clinical impact.

With over 20 years of experience in multi-omics, genetic epidemiology, data science, and biomedical data ecosystems, Dr. Kim is a nationally recognized leader with deep expertise in AI/ML, data interoperability, privacy-preserving analytics, and scalable cloud platforms. She plays a pivotal role in advancing cross-agency and public-private collaborations to drive innovation in precision medicine and next-generation healthcare delivery and also serves as a Senior Program Officer at National Cancer Institute where she leads strategic programs at the intersection of data science, data interoperability, and cancer research. She continues to champion mission-driven initiatives that break down barriers across data silos and empower researchers, clinicians, and patients alike.

Dr. Kim holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University, an M.S. in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. in Human Genetics & Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
