Dr. Scott is a pediatric cardiologist and clinical informatics specialist with many years of experience in the Military and Veterans health care systems. He transitioned from active duty in the US Army Medical Department to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in 2020, and he now serves as the Interim Chief Data Office for the VHA. In that role he serves as Co-Chair of the VHA’s Data Governance Council and VHA’s representative on interagency working groups with the Department of Defense. He is part of the VA team working to responsibly unlock the enormous potential of big data analytics to promote health for Veterans, Service Members and their families.
