Brent serves as the Director of the Data and Systems Group for CMCS, where he leads a team in assisting states with the development of Medicaid and CHIP IT systems, and the development of national products used to run the Medicaid and CHIP program. He is a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry, working in the private and public sectors. His broad information technology background includes positions in software development, quality assurance, operations management, systems engineering, and IT program management. Brent has a wealth of experience leading large IT projects and organizations, specializing in cultural transformation and system modernization. Before joining CMS in 2017, Brent was the Vice President of Project Management at Transamerica, where he worked for ten years. Brent received his Master of Science Degree from Towson University in Applied Information Technology and his Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
