Servio Medina directs enterprise cyber risk management, oversight, and reporting for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. He served as a Branch Chief in the Defense Health Agency CIO office where he worked to harmonize policy objectives for Army, Navy and Air Force medical commands migrating to DHA authority, direction, control and network. His tenure in the Military Health System began in 2003 and has focused primarily on cybersecurity and HIPAA security. Servio strives to innovate cybersecurity awareness, education, and implementation with a focus on cyber “fluency” or “hygiene” to make the right choice easier. He remains a recovering educator with 10 years teaching college mathematics. When not on the job, he’s on the bike (mostly Zwift); when not on the bike, he’s on his toes with his wife and three kids.
