Lieutenant Commander Quinton DuBose currently serves as the Maritime Cyber Readiness Branch Chief at Coast Guard Cyber Command – an interdisciplinary team that fuses marine safety and cybersecurity expertise, and is dedicated to all things Marine Transportation System (MTS) Cyber Domain Awareness and Cyber Incident Response.
In this role, he serves as a connection point between industry, Coast Guard field units, the intelligence community, and other government agencies on operational cyber issues. He also serves as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert domestically and abroad, advising policy and lawmakers, Captains of the Port, and industry leaders on topics surrounding cyber literacy, incident response, and supply chain risk management. He played a pivotal role in the development of the recently released Executive Order on Maritime Security, as well as the related Maritime Security Directive and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
LCDR DuBose holds a BS in Computer Science from Morehouse College and a Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and 3 Coast Guard Commendation Medals, among many others.
