Ona Spreenberg is a Policy Analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration, where she develops policy on the national security implications of emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and supply chains. Prior to the Department of Commerce, Ona worked as a contractor at the U.S. Department of State designing research products that shaped the Department's communications on U.S.-China relations and tracked authoritarian information operations in Latin America. Throughout her career, Ona has been actively involved in professional associations focused on gender equity and is committed to applying an intersectional lens to her policy work. Ms. Spreenberg holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a native of Catalonia, Spain, and California.
