Ronald Seaman is a full-time Police Captain in New Jersey with over 28 years of law enforcement experience.
Captain Seaman began his public service career as a Prosecutor’s Agent in the Detective Bureau of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2000, he joined the South Brunswick Police Department as a Patrol Officer. He later served a long tenure as a Detective in the Investigations Division and was assigned as an FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force Officer.
Throughout his career, Captain Seaman has held leadership roles as a Sergeant and Lieutenant in both the Patrol and Investigations Divisions. He was promoted to the rank of Captain over seven years ago and currently oversees the Operations Division. His command experience includes leadership of the Patrol Division, Traffic Safety Bureau, Public Safety Bureau, Investigations and Internal Affairs.
Captain Seaman has been recognized for his work in officer wellness, training, policy development, recruitment, and the procurement of advanced technology. He also coordinated the creation of the South Brunswick Special Needs Registry, enhancing services for vulnerable members of the community.
He holds a master’s degree from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree from Kean University. Over the course of his career, Captain Seaman has received more than two dozen awards for exceptional service in both investigative and patrol functions.
