ATSAIC Eric Fried is a law enforcement professional with over 20 years of experience. During his career with the Secret Service, ATSAIC Fried has filled multiple roles at the Field Office, Protective and Headquarters levels. ATSAIC Fried is currently the Service’s liaison to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) where he works closely with CISA’s Cyber Security Division and the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative. ATSAIC Fried was previously detailed to DHS’s Office of Operations Coordination. In this role he was part of a staff of SME’s from across the Department tasked with bringing real world experience to the decision making process used to develop operational options to DHS leadership. While assigned to USSS Headquarters, ATSAIC Fried was the program manager for the Secret Service’s Digital Forensic program where he oversaw the training and equipping of the Service’s 140+ forensic examiners. Prior to joining the Secret Service, ATSAIC Fried served in the United States Marine Corps as a Signals Intelligence Officer. ATSAIC Fried received a degree in Political Science from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). ATSAIC Fried earned a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security. As a collateral duty, ATSAIC Fried provides Internet Safety presentations to elementary, middle school and high school students to educate pre-teen, tween and teenage students on how to safely navigate the internet and social media platforms. These outreach presentations are done as part of the Secret Service’s partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
