On May 25, 2023, Attorney General Merrick B. Garland appointed Mr. Michael H. Glasheen as the Director of the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). As the U.S. Government's consolidated counterterrorism watchlisting component, the TSC manages and operates the Terrorist Screening Dataset, commonly known as the "terrorist watchlist," in addition to other national security threat watchlisting datasets.

From August 2021 until June 2023, Mr. Glasheen served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Counterterrorism Division at the Washington Field Office.

Mr. Glasheen joined the FBI in 2001 and was assigned to the Chicago Field Office where he specialized in international terrorism investigations. Mr. Glasheen also led Chicago’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA).

In 2011, he was promoted to an SSA position in the International Terrorism Operations Section I (ITOS I) of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division (CTD).

In 2014, Mr. Glasheen transferred to the Seattle Field Office where he led the Inland Northwest JTTF as an SSA. Mr. Glasheen was responsible for all international and domestic terrorism investigations for eastern Washington State. In 2018, Mr. Glasheen was promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) in the Seattle Field Office and was responsible for all counterterrorism investigations in Washington State.

In 2019, Mr. Glasheen returned to CTD at FBI Headquarters as the Section Chief for ITOS I, which provides oversight for all international terrorism investigations in the United States.

Mr. Glasheen earned a bachelor's degree in political science from North Carolina State University and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. Mr. Glasheen is also a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps' Command and Staff College. Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Glasheen served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps
