Jill Aitoro is Senior Vice President of Content Strategy at CyberRisk Alliance, parent company of SC
Media, Security Weekly, Cybersecurity Collaborative, Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum, Identiverse
and InfoSec World, driving efforts to build and engage audiences and expand data-driven insight, all
while focusing on the CRA mission to inform, inspire and support the cybersecurity community.
Jill brings more than 20 years of experience in B2B content development and management, focusing
on technology and policy. She has interviewed executives from Fortune 500 companies and
government officials from around the globe, and is a regular speaker at conferences and panel
events across a range of markets.
Prior to joining the CyberRisk Alliance, Jill worked at Sightline Media as editor of Defense News and
executive editor of the Business-to-Government Group, developing the editorial strategy for Defense
News, Federal Times, C4ISRNET, and cyber brand Fifth Domain. She previously worked for
Washington Business Journal and Nextgov, covering federal technology, contracting and policy. Jill
has been a regular commentator on local news networks; served as a guest reporter on C-SPAN’s
weekly series, The Communicators; and appeared on CNBC’s Power Lunch and Markets Now on Fox
Business.
Jill received multiple award honors for reporting, editorial writing and multimedia editorial projects.
She holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in journalism, from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and Ohio University respectively.
