David Blackburn is the CEO and Founder of OrangeSlices AI, a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) dedicated to advancing transparency, fostering innovation, and building trusted connections across the Federal IT and Consulting community. Under David’s leadership, OrangeSlices AI has become a daily resource for government and industry leaders through its Fresh Squeezed Daily Newsletter, programs like Engage FedGov and Elev8 GovCon, and a growing platform of events and insights.

Since its full launch in 2023, OrangeSlices AI has distinguished itself as an independent, vendor-neutral partner serving organizations of every size and helping Federal agencies and their industry partners deliver on mission. The company’s recent transition to PBC status reflects David’s long-held commitment to ensuring that trust, independence, and community remain at the heart of its mission.

Prior to founding OrangeSlices AI, David was the founder, architect, and CEO of G2Xchange, where he built well-known platforms and programs including G2Xchange Health, G2Xchange FedCiv, and FedHealthIT (now rebranded as Forum). G2Xchange was acquired by MileMarker10 in 2020. Before G2X, David spent 15 years as a Federal Health growth leader with digital services innovators Sapient and Aquilent (acquired by Booz Allen Hamilton). He also served as the Founder and Chief Community Organizer for Health 2.0 DC, a hub for collaboration and innovation in Federal Health IT.

David is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland and an even prouder father of two current UMD students.
