Bethany has been with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for 12 years spending half of that in the Center for Program Integrity (CPI). Prior to Bethany taking on this new role as Acting Deputy Director of the Data Analytics and Systems Group (DASG), she was in a leadership position as the Director of the Division of Investigative and Business Analytic. In this role, Bethany oversaw a team of analysts that use data-driven insights to shape our approaches to preventing and detecting fraud, waste and abuse. Bethany has worked with stakeholders across the Agency and externally to collaboratively mitigate complex issues.
Other roles Bethany held in CPI include special assistant to the CPI Director and Acting Director for the Division of Fraud Prevention Partnerships. Prior to Bethany joining CPI, she held various positions across CMS, working on Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy, continuous improvement initiatives, building security and operations, and human resources.
