As cyber threats continue to evolve, agencies must adopt new strategies and tools to protect health missions and build a more secure and resilient healthcare system. Teams are adopting emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to improve health outcomes, but how are they better collaborating with security teams and industry to manage risk and protect citizen privacy and security? The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is reportedly expanding its real-time threat intelligence operations and improving information sharing with key federal agencies as part of an effort to enhance its preventative cybersecurity capabilities. Moreover, ever-evolving cyber threats require agencies to adopt new approaches and models such as Secure by Design and Zero Trust architectures to address the gaps in cybersecurity. Secure by Design ensures that cybersecurity is built into the design and manufacture of technology and software products, while zero trust provides a framework to determine who can access critical applications and assets.

Join this session to hear federal health agency cybersecurity experts and leaders discuss how they are improving collaboration between cyber and program teams to enable agency missions and implementing emerging technology and strategies to protect citizen privacy and critical resources.
