Kevin Duvall is the chief technology officer, and the acting chief information officer at ACF. In this role via the Office of Administration, Duvall provides leadership and strategic direction to technology and innovation delivery at ACF. He works closely with ACF offices and directly manages ACF’s Office of the Chief Information Officer to ensure ACF is aligning forward-leaning technology with the work of staff. Joining ACF in 2021, Duvall makes sure the vital services ACF provides are equitable, efficient, and effective through data and technology, and ACF’s business processes are aligned in support.
Before working at ACF he was the acting chief data officer at HHS. In that role, he was responsible for the Department’s planning for and execution of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act and the development of the HHS Protect COVID-19 data-sharing ecosystem.
Prior to joining HHS, Duvall worked at the University of Virginia. He was responsible for acquiring and implementing cloud products serving the faculty, staff, and students of the university, and leading change through smarter, consolidated IT acquisition. In addition, he worked directly for the university’s chief information officer driving forward critical actions in audit response, continuity of operations planning, strategic planning, and staff development/learning.
He holds a M.S. in management of information technology and a B.S. in chemical engineering and physics, both from the University of Virginia.
