Ms. Nancy Norton is an acquisition professional with over 24 years of experience. She began her federal career in the Army Acquisition intern program at Fort Monmouth New Jersey where she supported weapon system contracts and multibillion-dollar services contracts. In 2006. Mrs. Norton moved to the Centers and Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta GA where she worked across many CDC programs as a Team Leader, Branch Chief, and eventually the Deputy Director in the CDC Office of Acquisition Services (OAS). During this period, she received the GSA Ida Ustad Award for Acquisition Excellence for tackling complex acquisition challenges in support of the H1N1 vaccine distribution effort. In 2018, Ms. Norton moved to the National Institutes of Health in North Bethesda Maryland where she initially served as the Director of the Division Of Acquisition Policy and Evaluation (DAPE) and then as the Associate Director, Office of Acquisition Management and Policy (OAMP). In these roles, Ms. Norton provided leadership, advice, and oversight in acquisition policy, the NIH Purchase Card and BPA Programs at NIH and oversaw financial advisory services to all Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) operating and staff divisions. Ms. Norton recently returned to CDC in February 2023 as the OAS Director and Head of the Contracting Activity where she continues to champion acquisition innovation and workforce advocacy. Ms. Norton holds a BA from Troy State University and MSA from Central Michigan University.
