Kristina Britt is the Director of Communications at the U.S. Digital Service. Kristina has over twelve years of experience in the federal information technology industry. She has been responsible for building service desks, developing delivery strategies, business development, and implementation of services across several federal agencies. Since 2015, she has been translating business strategy into actionable internal and external marketing strategies while building momentum to achieve operational excellence. She leads a team of content experts, designers, media specialists, who work across about a dozen federal agencies to improve government programs and services through technology at U.S. Digital Service.
Mrs. Britt wasn’t always working in the federal government. In fact, she has a background in implementing customer service and employee motivational programs with the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) and the Walt Disney Company.
Mrs. Britt is passionate about blending communication and customer service into the delivery of our government products and services.
As a Past President of Young AFCEA Bethesda, a non-profit that encourages dialogue and partnership between the Federal Government and industry to solve today’s most critical IT challenges. Mrs. Britt was responsible for the supervision of the Young AFCEA Bethesda's Chapter Affairs which includes chapter fiscal management, operational support of six independent annual programs. Mrs. Britt is influential in mentoring emerging young professionals in the IT industry.
Mrs. Britt holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Virginia Tech in Marketing and Hospitality and Tourism Management. She has received multiple awards for her work, AFCEA International Emerging Leader Award, 40 Rising Stars of Federal Technology, Distinguished Young AFCEAN Award, and AFCEA Bethesda Distinguished Service Award.
