Hussain M. Jabalpurwala is a seasoned technical leader with over 17 years of experience in software and IT industry and has held several leadership roles throughout his career. Hussain has been with USCIS for over 6 years. He was selected as the Branch Chief for Biometrics and Identity Branch in Identity, Records and National Security Delivery Division (IRNSD). In this role, Hussain leads one of the largest portfolios including USCIS major enterprise applications and oversees multiple cross-cutting Agile software development teams developing critical services to achieve USCIS Mission. He also manages initiatives to ensure continuous delivery of value-added products by coordinating and integrating activities mitigating risks, ensuring quality assurance processes are implemented and maintained.

Hussain has a thorough understanding of IT and business, leading to successful experiences in completing large scale IT deployments from the initial corporate IT strategy and vision to design, build, and maintenance. Hussain has been focusing on Zero Trust and implementation of Login.gov including efficient data streaming and robust distributed API management. He also has expertise in auditing, directing, and managing corporate IT strategies for small to large sized commercial businesses.

Before joining USCIS, Hussain worked in the private contracting sector managing software development projects at various agencies like NOAA, NIST and OPM. Hussain enjoys traveling, Jeep off-roading and trying different food cuisines.
